Initial Assessment

Per Session
  • This includes a combination of observation, 1:1 assessment and discussion with parents / others. Case history information must be completed by parents prior to the appointment.
  • Verbal feedback on the outcome of the assessment will be provided following the session.
  • The initial assessment will last between 75 and 90 minutes and can be held at either the family home or an educational setting. Sometimes a second session is needed and would be mutually agreed.

Reports

Per Hour
  • A report can be provided to include a summary of the child's speech, language and communication needs following an initial assessment, review session or after a block of therapy.
  • This summary report would include 1-2 specific recommendations and suggested resources.
  • More detailed reports to include interpretation of assessment data, key recommendations and specific strategies and interventions are charged at a minimum of 2 hours.

Standard Sessions

Per Hour
  • May be used for therapy, additional observations or guidance to support parents / educational staff in implementing targets.
  • Sessions consist of 45 minutes with the child followed by 15 minutes of discussion time with parent / practitioner and completion of written notes.
  • Brief feedback will be provided after the session either via email, text or voice note. More detailed feedback will be charged as additional time.
  • Additional time is charged at £21.25 per 15 minutes or part of. Additional time covers continuation of a session or additional support by phone or email.

Other Work

Per Hour Pro-Rata
  • Creating resources for home / school programme.
  • School or setting visits.
  • Attendance at multi-disciplinary meetings or discussions with NHS / other practitioners.
  • Any additional work mutually agreed.

Just so you know

Payment: All fees will be invoiced and are payable in full upon receipt. Accepted payment is via bank transfer / BACS. Late/non-payment will incur charges.

Travel: Please note that there is no charge for travel within a 5 mile radius of your therapist’s home – 45p per mile thereafter.

Cancellation: If a session needs to be cancelled please give a minimum of 24 hours notice by phone or email. In the event of cancellation within 24 hours fees will be charged.
